On March 3, 2016,

• Emirom’s Client is a Multinational Company providing inspection and expediting for worldwide
leaders in oil & gas, power generation and distribution, chemical and petrochemical, general industrial construction, shipbuilding industries;

• Our Client in looking to hire several Welding Inspectors for worldwide deployments in major international projects;

• Projects locations: Northern Europe, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, Brazil, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Angola, Congo, Egypt

• Type of assignments: onshore and/or offshore, long term (project based 12 months or 24 months) or short term missions (1 – 3 weeks up to 1 – 2 months)

• Contract type: employment (individual labor contract as employee) or consultancy (under PFA)

Mission: to ensure that all welding operations are executed in accordance with all relevant Codes of Practices and Company procedures/practices ensuring also field welding inspection and surveillance as required during construction activities


  • ensures fully detailed documentation of all welding activities are raised and completed prior to handover;
  • coordinates with Engineering and Construction and liaises with the Client on detail welding requirements;
  • ensures that all Welding, Heat Treatment, any hardness testing, Inspection and Non-destructive testing are in compliance with the relevant codes and specifications;
  • possesses a current Weld NDE Interpretation qualification;
  • ensures the use of the correct welding procedures and verifies all Welders qualifications and monitors both their application and performance;
  • ensures that all welding and testing related records form a complete package and reflect the ‘As Built’ integrity of the plant;
  • ensures that all welding work is performed under controlled conditions and consumables used are in accordance with the specification;
  • ensures that all installed pipe/fittings are to the correct specification and that the material is in accordance with the specified Material Traceability requirements;
  • maintains a daily Site Diary;
  • handles all welding technical queries and investigates all field welding related problems;
  • prepares a Weld Map and/or marks up existing drawings;
  • examines visually work in progress and effectively supervises the repair procedures;
  • reviews welding requirements for field erected structures, vessels, tanks, boilers and other process plants;
  • liaises between the Client Inspection Department on all aspects of Welding, Heat Treatment, Hardness Testing and Non-Destructive Testing;


– University degree (mechanical or welding disciplines)

– Certified Welding Inspector CSWIP 3.1

– Fully conversant with applicable Industry International Standards and Specifications such as ASME, API, AWS, ANSI, NACE, etc.; in particular demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of ANSI B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1

– Minimum 3 years of experience in the same position for international oil and gas or industrial construction projects

– NTD certification level 2 – UT, DP, PM

– Very good level of English, both spoken and written

– Ability to use the main MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
