Inspection and monitoring of welding and NDT activities.
He has to witness all tests according to Site QCP and will monitor all the activities related to welding/NDT/visual and dimensional test carried out by shipyard/shipyard supplier on piping and structural parts.
He has to review and comment the NDT procedure/welder qualification issued by the Shipyard contractor, sign the report at the end of each inspection, issue Not Conformity Report where discrepancies with the rule is observed and verify/help Shipyard to collect the final documentation related his activities (including material certificate review).
Besides, he has also to witness a site welder test that will be organized by shipyard on their welders.
Required Qualifications &
• degree in mechanical engineering or relevant discipline (equivalent experience will be considered)
• relevant experience in discipline engineering; experience in an oil and gas project environment would be a plus
• NDT qualifications: NDT II Level UT-MT-PT-RT-VT (preferred EC also) according to standard EN473/ISO 9712 or ASNT-TC-1A and welding qualification CSWIP 3.1 (preferred 3.2) or IWI B (preferred IWI C).
